UMN was founded on November 25, 2005 pursuant to Decree No. Minister of National Education. 169/D/O/2005 that operation officially managed by Foundation Multimedia Nusantara. This foundation was established by Kompas Gramedia, a leading business group engaged in the mass media, publishing, printing, book shops, hotels and education services.
UMN is a university institution with information and communication technology as the basis in every process of teaching and learning in each subject they deliver. Supported by the existence of the teaching staff of professional and experienced in education and organizing program of courses will deliver focused and integrated UMN become pre-eminent university in national and international level. UMN targeted an inspiration for the presence of a new educational paradigm for youth Indonesia so as to produce highly competent graduates and entrepreneurial technology-based (Technopreneurship).

UMN's library provides more than 400 titles of books for all majors. You can access the internet in it. In the near future, every student who want to go to the library, must be tapped with a smart card. If not, would not be signed.
